Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 1, 2026
The Worth-It Map (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is an independent English-language travel information website operated by Sanghee in South Korea at theworthitmap.com/. We respect visitor privacy and explain below what information may be processed when you browse the site or contact us.
For privacy questions or requests, email theworthitmap@gmail.com.
1. Information we receive
You can read our public guides without creating an account. The website does not require you to submit your name or email address to browse articles.
If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you choose to include. We use that information to respond to your request, handle corrections, and maintain a record of relevant correspondence where reasonably necessary.
When you browse the site, our web hosting and security infrastructure may automatically process technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device information, pages requested, and access times. This may be needed to deliver pages, diagnose problems, prevent misuse, and protect the website.
2. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files that a website or its providers may store on a device. Our website and service providers may use cookies or similar technologies for essential site operation, security, consent choices, and—when advertising is enabled—advertising purposes.
You can manage or remove cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect website functionality. Where consent is required, available controls will be provided through the site’s consent message or cookie settings.
3. Advertising and third-party cookies
The Worth-It Map intends to use Google AdSense to support its free travel information. If and when Google ads are displayed on the website, Google and other third-party advertising vendors may place and read cookies on your browser, or use web beacons, IP addresses, and other identifiers to collect information in connection with ad serving. These technologies may be used to deliver, measure, and personalize advertising, subject to applicable settings and consent requirements.
You can read how Google uses data on partner sites and apps and review Google’s advertising controls. You can also read Google’s Privacy Policy.
Where required for visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, we will use an appropriate Google-certified consent management platform (CMP) integrated with the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework before serving personalized Google ads. The availability of choices will depend on the visitor’s location and the services enabled on the site.
4. External links and embedded content
Our articles may link to third-party websites, including tourism authorities, transport providers, maps, and other sources. When you choose to follow an external link, the destination website handles your information according to its own privacy practices.
If we add embedded videos, maps, social media content, or other third-party tools, those services may process visitor information or set cookies. We will update this policy and any required consent controls when such features are activated.
5. Why information may be used
We process information as relevant to:
- Providing the public website and its content;
- Protecting the website and investigating technical or security issues;
- Replying to messages and correcting inaccurate travel information;
- Meeting applicable legal obligations; and
- Supporting advertising only when the relevant services and required disclosures or consent mechanisms are enabled.
6. Service providers, sharing, and retention
Technical information may be handled by our website hosting and security service providers for the purposes described above. When Google AdSense is enabled, Google and participating advertising vendors may process information associated with ad delivery as described in their own policies.
We do not sell email messages submitted directly to us. We keep correspondence only as long as reasonably necessary to handle the inquiry, protect legitimate interests, or meet applicable obligations, then delete or anonymize it as appropriate. Hosting and advertising providers may apply their own retention policies to data they process.
7. Your choices and requests
You may ask us about personal information associated with an email inquiry, request correction or deletion where applicable, or raise a privacy concern by writing to theworthitmap@gmail.com. We will review requests under applicable law and explain if a legal or technical exception applies.
You can also use your browser’s cookie controls and, when shown, the website’s consent choices. For advertising preferences, see Google My Ad Center.
8. Children
Our website is general travel information and is not designed to collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has emailed personal information that should be removed, contact us.
9. Updates
We may update this policy when we change website features, advertising providers, or data practices. The date at the top of the page will show the latest version.
